<p>Registered Nurses are not only the most important health care practitioners, they are also one of the most important occupations in the entire United States. There are over 2.5 million Registered Nurses in the US, which places them fourth in terms of total employment after Retail Salespersons, Cashiers, Office Clerks, and Food Preparation Workers.
