During June, more than 2,800 job ads in New York included mobile developers and grew more than 137% over the past year. Other metro areas with high demand for these skills were San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington (DC), and Chicago.

As hiring demand continues (and does anyone expect it won't?), the fact that there are a limited number of qualified potential candidates will cause challenges for many employers. There are currently 3,056 companies currently advertising for Developer jobs that require mobile skills – and most are sourcing candidates for multiple positions.
