Will Hiring for Food Service Jobs Continue during Culinary Arts Month?

By Abby Lombardi on July 11, 2012 in Occupations.

July is National Culinary Arts Month and we thought it would be interesting to look at hiring demand for food preparation and culinary jobs. Hiring demand has grown quickly in 2012, peaking in May with 246,000 available online job ads. That volume fell slightly in June to approximately 234,000 online job listings – a 65% year-over-year increase in demand. We've also noticed that with this great increase, food preparation and service occupations have appeared on our list of most demanded occupations for several months.
