Most Commonly Advertised STEM Job Titles

STEM jobs continue to be a hot topic among Recruiters and Hiring Managers. There are continuing concerns that there aren't enough skilled, qualified candidates to fill highly demanded positions. We wanted to look at the most commonly advertised job titles in each category to see what employers are looking for.

Within STEM are the computer and mathematical, architecture and engineering, and life and physical science occupations. In May, there were approximately 1.1 million job ads for STEM careers advertised online, a 4% year-over-year increase in demand. Computer and mathematical occupations were the most in-demand with 840,000 jobs. There were 265,000 jobs available for architects and engineers, and about 85,000 for science positions. Below are the most commonly advertised job titles in each area.
